Thanks for your interest!
Let me tell you a little about myself. I am proud to say I am a native Montanan. I was born in Deer Lodge and got the priviledge of growing up in beautiful Superior, Montana. In addition, for the past 11 years my husband and I and our five children have called Columbus, Montana home.
When you give a girl a point and shoot, she's going to ask, what next?
My interest in photography started when I was given a point and shoot camera for 4-H when I was 10 years old, (our family lived in town, and so showing a large animal was not an option). I was none the wiser at the time, however, photography was a natural fit for me as a creative person. That same year, I got the opportunity to see the film I had taken on my camera transformed into beautiful black and white prints from a family friend who had a home photography lab.
I have been taking photos ever since.
Today, I specialize in lifestyle, (hands-off candid shots), and portrait photography.
I love to merge these two styles of photography because of my journalism background which requires you to capture, not create, and because portraits, by their very nature require a little prompting and posing. Together they are the perfect merger for great story-telling!
